Location : Forest Haven Resort is situated at Kallar, en route to Munnar from Cochin (13 KMs to Munnar from Kallar). It lies in the Devikulam Taluk of the Idukki District of Kerala - the southernmost state in India.

Resorts Attraction : An invigorating stream passing through the plantation provides ideal opportunities for children and adults to have a frolicking time in natural fresh water. While those who are good swimmers can exercise their swimming skills, those who do not know swimming including children can bathe and play in the safe shallow waters.

A 4.5 kilometer adventurous and thrilling trekking or jeep safari through steep mountains & forests is an inimitable feature of the resort.

A brief description of these places of tourist attraction has been furnished below.

Pallivasal (9 km): It is famous for the Waterfalls and boasts of Kerala's first Hydro Electric Project constructed during British reign. It is also a place of immense scenic beauty.

Tata Tea Factory (11 km): The most famous tea factory in Munnar owned by the TATA group, where one could be acquainted with the processing of tea leaves. Fresh tea can be purchased from
their outlets.

Munnar (13 km): The small picture book town of Munnar is nestled in a valley surrounded by the mountains, at 1600 meters (5000 ft) above sea level. Boating facilities in rowboat, pedal boat or motorboat are available in the lake at old Munnar. One can get a hang of the town by cycling through the winding and misty lanes. The Blossom International Park for children is another attractive feature of the town. The town is also an ideal place to shop for the famous spices of Kerala.

Devikulam (24 km): Sitadevi Lake with its picturesque surroundings is the major attraction (1800 meters or 5940 ft above sea level) of Devikulam. Boating and fishing facilities also are available here.

Lock Heart Gap (28 km): This is an ideal place for adventure tourism and trekking. The panoramic view of the mountains makes it a worthwhile place to look at. The Chinnakanal Waterfalls also is nearby.

Mattuppetty (28 km): Situated at a height of 1700 meters (5610 ft), Mattuppetty is famous for its highly specialized dairy farm-The Indo-Swiss Livestock Project. Over 100 varieties of high yielding cattle are reared here. The Mattuppetty Dam and Lake also is a much sought after picnic spot. Boating facilities in motorboats or speed launches is an attraction of the lake.

Eravikulam National Park (30 km): This 97 sq. km park is situated in the Devikulam Taluk. It was originally established to protect the Nilgiri Tahr- an almost extinct mountain goat. Considering the ecological, faunal, floral, geo-morphological and zoological significance, it was declared a National Park in 1978. This park covers grasslands and evergreen forests. The park is divided into the core area, the buffer area and the tourism area. Visitors are allowed only in the tourism area.

Rajamali (30 km): The tourism area of the Eravikulam National Park where the Nilgiri Tahr can be spotted covers the Rajamali region. It is the natural habitat of the Nilgiri Tahr - a mountain goat, which is an endangered species. Half the world's population of the mountain goat or Tahr is found here.

Anamudi (30km): The Anamudi peak is located at 2695 meters (8883 ft) above sea level, and is in the Southern region of the Eravikulam National Park. It is the highest mountain peak in South India.

Echo point (30 km): This place gets its name from the natural echo phenomenon here. It is en route to Top Station from Munnar.

Kundala (35 km): Kundala - a beautiful town on the way to Top Station is situated at 1800 meters (5940 ft) above sea level. There is a Golf Course belonging to TATA Tea Ltd. here. The Kundala artificial Dam and Lake with boating facilities is another attraction. Aruvikkad waterfall is also nearby.

Anayirangal (37 km): The Anayirangal Dam is surrounded by Tata Tea Plantations and evergreen forests. The lush green carpet of tea plants and the reservoir makes it an ideal picnic spot.

Top Station (50 km): At 1910 meters (6300 ft) above sea level, Top Station is the highest point at Munnar. It offers a panoramic view of Kerala & Tamil Nadu borders.

Marayoor (55 km): This is the only place in Kerala with a natural Sandalwood Forest. The sandalwood factory of the forest department, the caves (muniyaras) with the murals and relics from the New Stone Age civilization and the children's park are of great interest to the tourists. Thoovanam waterfalls and Rajiv Gandhi National Park also are nearby.

Chinnar (75 km): Chinnar is known for its Wild Life Sanctuary. Elephants and some other wild animals are sighted here.
