General Information:
State Transport buses ply from Mumbai, Pune, Ahmednagar, Jalgaon, Shirdi, Nashik and Dhule to Aurangabad and from Jalgoan to Ajanta. Private luxury buses are also available from Mumbai to Aurangabad. The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), MSRTC and ITDC conduct tours from Aurangabad to Ajanta and Ellora.
Climate:
Aurangabad has moderate type of climate and the temperature difference between summers and winters is not large. The summers are hot and winters are cold. One can visit any time of the year but it is better to come here between October and march.
November to February is most comfortable, although evenings can be cold. Summers are warm with monsoon rainfall between mid-June and mid-September. Summer (average) 28C-40C; Winter 15C-34C.
